Internationally renowned and self-taught, American photographer Mike Klemme has spent his career immersed in the world of golf. From Japan to Ireland, Morocco to Thailand, Mike has created unforgettable visuals for developers, magazines, and publishers, earning a reputation as one of the finest golf landscape photographers in the world.
Mike’s expertise extends beyond the lens. As a member of various “Top 100” golf course panels for Golf Magazine from 1990 to 2020, he brought his vast knowledge of golf design and aesthetics to the forefront. His images have also been featured in six books, including Grand Slam Golf, Golf Resorts of the World, and his own title, A View From the Rough, which celebrates the connection between golf and the environment.
In addition to his golf photography, Mike has made an indelible impact in his home state of Oklahoma. As the Official Photographer of the Oklahoma Centennial in 2005, he documented all 77 counties, culminating in the acclaimed book Celebrating Oklahoma!, which sold nearly 25,000 copies. This led to his pioneering work in “wallbranding,” designing custom photographic installations for hospitals, universities, and businesses. Alongside his son Brett, Mike has installed images in over 150 buildings across the Midwest, all produced in their Enid, Oklahoma studio.
