Chateau de Taulane

Designed by Gary Player, the course wraps around a 17th-century château, combining history, architecture, and sport in a uniquely French way.

Wide fairways and mountain vistas make the course as scenic as it is strategic. Each hole feels like a postcard, with alpine views changing by the season.

Château de Taulane is more than a round of golf — it’s an experience that blends culture, elegance, and the beauty of Provence.



When I photographed Taulane, I was struck by how the château anchored the entire landscape. Morning fog rolling off the mountains, stone walls glowing in the sun, and golfers walking across centuries-old grounds — it felt like golf had been a part of that land forever. It’s the kind of place that makes you linger with your camera long after the last shot. My time was a short add-on to a three week trip where I photographed every golf course in Italy. We had heard about this place and snuck across the border and drove just a few miles north of Cannes to check it out. So glad we did!
