Omni Bedford Springs Resort

Bedford Springs, Pennsylvania

There’s a timeless beauty to classic golf course architecture, and few places capture it better than Omni Bedford Springs. Standing behind the circular green, surrounded by perfectly placed bunkers, you can feel the hand of history at work. It’s a design that challenges without overwhelming, inviting players to think, to imagine, and to appreciate the craftsmanship of another era.

The golf course at Bedford Springs carries the fingerprints of some of the game’s greatest minds — including the legendary Donald Ross. His touch is everywhere: the subtle contours, the thoughtful positioning of hazards, the sense that every shot has multiple options, each with its own reward and risk. It’s not just a round of golf here — it’s a walk through a living museum of course design.

Set against the backdrop of one of America’s most historic resorts, Bedford Springs is more than just a beautiful place to play. It’s a destination where the past and present meet — where the elegance of a bygone era lingers in the air and every round feels like a small step back in time.

Capturing this image behind the green was like stepping into a painting — the perfect fusion of landscape, design, and spirit. A reminder that some places were built not just to be played, but to be remembered.

Each week, we share a stunning golf image and a heartfelt, hilarious, or inspiring story. While they may not always align, both aim to elevate the game and uplift those who love it. These images aren’t for sale—they’re simply here to be enjoyed, just as the stories are meant to inspire, entertain, and celebrate the spirit of golf.

Meeting the King

“I was playing my first Masters (2009) and I was right on the corner of where the 13th hole turns, like right at the end of the pines up the right. He was just sitting there. I remember I think he was out in a golf cart, had a pink T-shirt on, had a gray pair of slacks. Put his big massive mitt out at me and shook my hand. That was the first time I met Arnold Palmer, which is, to me, playing on possibly my favorite golf hole in the world… it’s a bit of a fairytale.’’
